Projects

Educational, arts and cultural projects and initiatives make a unique contribution to building social capital and enhancing wellbeing.

To this end, we aim to develop several types of projects:

Participatory projects
Originating from local conditions. The models developed within these projects are related to the acquisition of skills or of resources for self-expression (e.g. training for young people or the unemployed, some of which relate to activities such as arts and crafts).

Inter-cultural projects
Promoting inter-cultural dialogue, creating possibilities to experience cultural environments, the visual and performing arts, and special local lifestyles, values, traditions, events as well as other ways of creative and inter-cultural exchange processes (e.g. cultural identity trips and other cultural activities involving broad sectors of the population).

Partnership projects
Bringing people from different countries together to develop their artistic ideas, and, by doing so, to achieve a satisfactory intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual existence (e.g. a concert given by a Dutch and Lithuanian choir and orchestra in Vilnius in May 2005).
